To the extent to which you feel comfortable, considering Chapter 4, Verbal Communication and the power of language, discuss what types of words/language have caused challenges in your personal or professional life. You could also speak of terms that cause some confusion for you. I know you hear a number of ‘trigger’ words in your environments, whether you are at school or at home. Identify 2 or 3 words/concepts that you have heard and explain the power dynamic associated with the word/concepts. How does this language impact our communication interaction and the overall climate of our environment? and How might we begin to build bridges and break down communication barriers?

You will be asked to write a 5 page paper on the book Daring Greatly. You have now read the The Gifts of Imperfection, and Daring Greatly. Dig deep and be in the arena! What does that mean to you and how are you going to incorporate everything that you have read not only in to your life but also when dealing with conflict. Again, be insightful, self reflective, and self-aware, while also backing up each “aha” moment with real life circumstances and points from the books.
